ASME B16.11 90 Degree Threaded Elbow should be annealed at 2150 Degree F / 2250 Degree F (1175 Degree C / 1230 Degree C for at least 15 minutes. These 90 Degree Threaded Elbow is normally supplied in the solution-treated condition, following a treatment at 2150 Degree F (1175 Degree C) and rapid cooling. Our 45 Degree Threaded Elbow will be forged between 2200 Degree F / 1600 Degree F (1205 Degree C / 870 Degree C).
However, light forging in these 90 degree Threaded Elbow Class 3000 may be carried out below 1200 Degree F (650 Degree C) to improve mechanical properties. Additionally, our A105 90 Degree Threaded Elbow is corrosion resistant, heat resistant and oxidation resistant, being able to withstand reducing or neutral atmospheres and oxidation.
These NPT 90 degree Threaded Elbow is as well used in the chemical process industry for retorts, muffles, catalyst support grids, furnace baffles, tubing for pyrolysis operations and flash drier components. However, rapid corrosion may occur in these 90 Degree Elbow Female Threaded when new parent metal is exposed to anhydrous conditions or in the absence of air.
